Wikibeardia Thursday 03
Every Thursday we’re giving you the know-how on a cool new cut, freshly prepared by barbering expert David Glover
Wikibeardia No. 51: Muttonchops
Muttonchops have become very popular among skaters. It’s a style we haven’t seen since the 70’s - which is probably what makes it so cool!
‘Chops’ refer to the shape of growth on the side of the face that resemble the well known cut of meat. You’ll need fairly full growth to make this one work.
Get the look
- Allow a full beard growth to develop.
- Shave the neck and form a clean line along the jaw.
- Shave the upper cheeks clean, along with the upper lip and around the mouth to create a line that is angled down towards the chin.
- Shave a clean strip that runs down the chin from the center of the mouth to separate the ‘chops’. Use your trimmer tool, then shave clean.
